|Overall the shows have improved but not nearly so much as last year at this time which typically over 15 years, they do! The early hours are most noticeable but even later hours are still short of singers and participating audience.
Tuesday at the Water Tank was considerably better than the previous week but there are still not enough singers and audience for a better show. This was a great show for Richard, who had the winning song slip drawn the previous week which awarded him a $25.00 bar/food tab! He is there regularly and this is one of the keys to win. The other is to be there early so that you can sing more often which puts more song slips into the pot for the drawing. Had he not been there tomorrow the song slip drawn last week would be worth $50.00 instead of the $25.00 which will be awarded should that person be there. Congrats, Richard!
Thursday at Canary Roost we saw an earlier crowd but the later crowd did not show up; still it improved significantly over the previous week. Regardless, we had a lot of fun and look forward to this week!
Friday at the Water Tank was a fairly well attended night and a lot of fun! We and our regulars enjoyed trying a lot of new songs which were upbeat and/or entertaining plus later in the evening we were further charged by the Rob and Donny's "Wild Hair Brigade" with lots of dancers and cut-ups!! Thanks to all for a fun evening!!!
Saturday was a pretty good early show but again we lacked the later crowd! We still had a great time!
I want to thank all of you for your participation, your sweet voices, variety of music and your ever improving performances which regularly entertain us!
Just heard last night that "Mr. K , owner and KJ of Mr. K Entertainment" passed away during the night from a heart attack. I know of no other current info other than that. If any are privy to information, I would appreciate hearing about it. Mr. K started coming to our shows about 10 years ago and was noted for his Sinatra renditions. He will be missed.
