|This time of the year one never knows what kind of week it will be but this last week was really good in spite of a few things.
Tuesday at the "Water Tank" was a good show but a number were disappointed because they did not win the $175.00 bar/food tab but that is the way chance works sometimes. However had Nina been at the 10 PM announcement/drawing she would have won a $25.00 bar/food tab, however, this coming Tuesday whoever was drawn last Tuesday will win a $50.00 tab. If you were there for the drawing, this Tuesday may make you $50.00 better off than you could be.
As I mentioned in our update last Thursday we no longer have a show at the "Canary Nest"--the club/restaurant closed Tuesday after noon; so I have no Wednesday show but Guy Paul does. Such a big thanks goes to those of you who made the effort to get our new show at Pflugerville's new Wednesday show at "Water Tank, Too's"!!! It was a great show for the first night but so many mentioned what good food, drinks and service! Needless to say the show area has great acoustics as well. Starting next week we will be adding the $25.00 bar/food tab there as well as we do at the "original Water Tank". For those of you who are new the way it works is as follows: at 11 PM we will take all the song slips that have been sung and put them in a container which then will allow someone from the audience to draw one slip. The slip will remain a secret for the audience until the following Tuesday where the winner will be announced. If the person is present at the 11 PM announcement they will win a $25.00 bar/food tab which they may use at their discretion, however, should they not be present, another $25.00 will be added for the following Tuesday(s) until someone is present to win as did Daryl week before last-he won $175.00! The trick to doing well at this is to be there each Tuesday and sing as many songs as you can until the 11 PM drawing. The more song slips, the better your odds.
Thursday at the "Canary Nest" was a slow start but a great show!
"Water Tank's" Friday was a really good show as well.
Saturday at the "Water Tank" was outstanding! Wayno's presentation for his lovely wife, Lynn, was a gift for all of us who know what a special person does for our life. Thanks, Wayno, for sharing that with us!!! Such a great mix of music and performances filled the night!!! All of you have such a great gift in assorted performances that you made it an incredible night!
